How to download & save streaming videos now?
Now that you have downloaded and installed the smart browser, Firefox and one of its most useful and of course completely free Add-on, Video Download Helper, you have to learn how to grab and download any movie clip you are just watching... Do not worry, it is quite simple!
You have just placed the Video Download Helper's icon somewhere on the top of your Firefox window (see image). This icon recognizes all videos ready to be downloaded in your browser window, automatically! If your Video Download Helper's icon does not appear, there is no reason to panic, this may happen for some reasons, then simply repeat the STEP 2.
As soon you will visit any web page with embedded videos, the small Video Download Helper's icon will start to spin and a little black arrow pointed to the bottom will appear next to the icon (see image). Click the arrow and select the video to start downloading.
To test the power of Video Download Helper, let's try to grab and save some videos now! Watch a movie clip that you would like to download, e.g. download this video clip, if you don't know any.
Just click the Video Download Helper's arrow (see image). A new dialog box will shortly open. Select the destination where you want to download the video, and whether you prefer, rename the movie, but keep intact the video's extension ".flv". Now you can click the "SAVE" button, the download will start as soon the movie clip is completely streamed!
Congratulations you have just grabbed and saved your first FLV-Video! Simple, isn't it?
